Nimra Waseem's Story
Six years old Nimra’s vision is declining every day. Before you proceed to read the details of Nimra’s ailment, please know that you can help her see well. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Nimra Waseem’s Cataract Surgery as much as you can.
Nimra Waseem suffers from cataracts. Cataracts are the clouding of the lens of your eye. Most cataracts develop slowly over time, causing symptoms such as blurry vision and uneasiness in the eye. To treat this condition, the doctor has advised her to undergo LMA + Vitrectomy and IOL (Intraocular Lens) surgery. A vitrectomy is a type of eye surgery to treat various problems with the retina and vitreous. During the surgery, the surgeon removes the vitreous and replaces it with an intraocular lens (IOL).
However, apart from being an effective procedure, it is also an expensive one. A procedure that Nimra or her family cannot afford on their own. Nimra Waseem’s father is a laborer and hardly manages to earn PKR. 15,000. Per month. With this measly income, he hardly makes both ends meet. He cannot afford to pay for his daughter’s eye surgery. His father told us:
“When every other child is out there playing in the fields, my daughter is fighting with this eyesight problem to see clearly. It pains my heart to see my daughter slowly lose her sight while her peers are enjoying and playing in the fields. Transparent Hands is my only hope. There is nothing else for me to look forward to.”
All that is left for you to do is help out Nimra whose vision declines with every moment you waste. Please donate for Nimra Waseem’s Cataract Surgery as much as you can.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
