Nasir’s story has brought tears to our eyes. This little angel has been through so much. Now, we have assured his parents that we would try our best to ease his pain. Five years old Nasir Hussain has been suffering from Anorectal Malformation by birth. Anorectal Malformation is a congenital condition that results in a malformed stool passage and affects the child’s bowel movements. To treat these defects, Nasir Hussain’s colostomy was done at a local hospital. Moreover, the second step of the process, a PSARP surgery was done at a local hospital. Now, Nasir Hussain needs a colostomy reversal surgery to restore his bowel movements back to normal. Unfortunately, Nasir’s parents do not have the means for Nasir’s colostomy reversal surgery.

Nasir’s father – the sole earner of the family works at a private firm. With a monthly income of 17,000 rupees and a family of 4 to take care of he is unable to bear the financial stress of his son’s treatment. He told us:

“I don’t even have enough money to feed my family from where will I get the money for his treatment. Thankfully someone told us about Transparent Hands and, we have requested help. Now, in this time of gloom, they are our last ray of hope.”

Nasir Hussain's Story

Nasir Hussain from Lahore, aged five years, was suffering from ARM since birth. Within the next couple of days after his birth, a colostomy was performed and a stoma was placed. Few months back he came to Transparent Hands for assistance where his ASARP surgery was conducted to make his back passage. He has significantly healed and the doctor has now advised him to undergo colostomy reversal. For this purpose, Nasir Hussain was admitted to Akram Medical Complex where his surgery was performed by Dr. Bilal Mirza on 10.07.2021. He stayed in the hospital for seven days and was discharged in a stable condition.
