Huzaifa has an innocent smile and bright eyes and he looks like any other child his age. But he was born without the sense of hearing. There’s a treatment for his hearing loss, but it’s expensive and his parents cannot afford it. They are hoping that a generous donor like you will help their little boy. Huzaifa Sohrab, a four-year-old resident of Buner, has been suffering from the inability to hear since birth. His parents were unaware of his condition until he was old enough to respond to sounds. They took him to an ENT specialist. The doctor ran a series of tests to determine Huzaifa’s illness. After the reports came out, Huzaifa was diagnosed with Sensorineural Hearing Loss. At first, the doctor advised Huzaifa to get a hearing aid device, but unfortunately, Huzaifa’s parents could not afford it. After some time, when Huzaifa’s hearing ability did not develop, he was taken for another consultation. The doctor advised Cochlear implant surgery for Huzaifa. After this surgery, Huzaifa will have a modified sense of hearing thanks to a medically inserted neuroprosthetic device.
But sadly, Huzaifa’s family cannot afford the hefty cost of this procedure. His father works as a salesman and has a family of ten to support. Huzaifa’s father shared his distress with us:

“My son is a smart little boy and deserves the opportunities that are available to all the other kids. I have to provide for a family of ten, which means that there’s no way for me to pay for this expensive cochlear implant. Please help my son.”
