Four-year-old Amber, a resident of Muzaffargarh, whose world has been shrouded in silence ever since she was born with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. Her parents were heartbroken when they noticed that she wasn’t responding to their voices at the tender age of one. At the local hospital, she was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness. The doctor advised her to undergo cochlear implant surgery. It is a surgical procedure that involves implanting a small electronic device that stimulates the cochlear nerve, allowing Amber to hear the world around her.

She lives in a small house with fourteen family members. Her father is an imam in a mosque in his village and just earns PKR 14,000 monthly. On his limited income, he cannot afford the surgical expenses.
