Twelve years old Ali Hassan suffers from multiple cardiac defects. Before you dive into the gory details of Ali Hassan’s ailments, please know that only your help can help us arrange his life-saving surgeries. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Ali’s Open-heart surgery as much as you can. 

Since birth, Ali Hassan suffered from breathlessness and exertion over mild activity. This condition worsened with age, so his parents took him to a hospital. After a check-up, the doctors referred him to a cardiologist. After a thorough investigation, the cardiologist diagnosed him with right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOT) and ventricular septal defect (VSD). A ventricular outflow tract obstruction is one type of congenital heart defect in which either the ventricular outflow tract is blocked or obstructed. Whereas, a VSD is a hole in the heart, which allows blood to pass abnormally from one chamber to another. 

To treat these, the cardiac surgeon has advised Ali to undergo an open-heart surgery in which the surgeon will close the VSD through a patch. Moreover, Ali will undergo RVOT resection as well.

His distressed mother told us:

“When Ali Hassan was a child, he used to have a lot of breathing problems. We all thought that he has asthma and bought him an inhaler. Little did we know that it was much worse, and not one but two life-threatening diseases were upon him. We are beyond stressed at his condition. ” 

Ali’s father is a daily wage worker. He works as a labourer and hardly manages to earn PKR 15000 per month. In this meagre salary, he is in no position to arrange for his son’s life-saving procedures. After a lot of distress, Ali Hassan’s parents have registered their case with Transparent Hands.
