Afsha Bibi's Story
It breaks our heart to see the little ones suffer from disorders, diseases, and conditions that can make even an adult cry in pain. Afsha Bibi’s story is similar. The 9-year-old angel was born in Mardan, and that is where her family lives currently as well. For the last four years or so, Afsha has been suffering from recurring inflammation of the tonsils, a condition commonly known as chronic tonsillitis.
At first, Afsha Bibi’s parents decided to take the opinion of doctors in their locality. But since recommended treatment was always surgical, there was nothing her parents could do for their little angel. But time has finally come where Afsha Bibi is all ready for her tonsillectomy in a couple of months.
Tonsillectomy, in case the term is a bit vague for you, refers to the removal of tonsils from a person suffering from chronic tonsillitis. This is an effective treatment and one that is recommended for 90 percent of such cases. Afsha Bibi is all set for a tonsillectomy, but there is a catch. The little angel’s family has still not managed to raise the funds required for her surgery.
“We got a date for our daughter’s tonsillectomy last month. But we are not too optimistic about its future. Afsha’s father is a daily wager, the 15,000 PKR per month he brings home every month is spent on the provision of food and payment of house rent. Post COVID-19, these are tough times, and managing a tonsillectomy without someone’s help seems an improbable event”
Do you realize what would happen if Afsha’s parents gave up on her tonsillectomy? The little angel could end up losing her ability to speak. We don’t want that to happen and we are sure that you are thinking on the same lines. Here is an idea, why don’t we join hands to help Afsha Bibi? You can DONATE through this portal to ease the sufferings of a poor child, and it suits Afsha that you DONATE NOW!

Afsha Bibi's Story
Afsha, 9 years old, was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis when her father took her to the doctor because of repeated episodes of fever and sore throat. She was advised a tonsillectomy so that her inflamed tonsils could be removed surgically. For this reason, Afsha was admitted in Ahmed Medical Complex and the procedure was performed by Dr. Abdul Raheem on 26.10.2020. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Afsha has recovered and her parents are completely satisfied.
“The doctors had advised tonsillectomy several times because of Afsha’s constant discomfort but we did not have the means to pay for it. Because of your help, she is finally relieved from her suffering of four years.”- Afsha’s father.
