Fazeel Ahmed is a 3 years old child who lives in a small town of Sheikhupura with his parents and one younger brother. Fazeel’s father works as a driver and earns only 16,000 rupees a month. In such meager income, he has to take care of the expenses of his wife, children, father and two siblings. There are days, when this family has nothing to eat. In such circumstances, Fazeel is diagnosed with Hirschsprung disease.

Fazeel has been living with this disease since birth. He underwent first surgery at a local hospital when he was only 2 days old. A stoma bag was placed on his abdomen for passing of stool. Doctor advised his parents to prepare him for another surgery. Two years have passed but they couldn’t get a surgery date for his second and final surgery. They requested other hospitals for free surgical treatment but didn’t get any positive response from them. Fazeel Ahmed is living miserable life due to his stoma bag. His parents don’t take him outside due to bad odor and cleaning problem. Finally, they came to know about Transparent Hands through someone and they immediately came here without wasting any time.

Fazeel Ahmed's Story

Fazeel Ahmed 2 ½ years old boy had his Ileostomy made in an emergency surgery on 2^nd day of life for intestinal obstruction due to Hirschsprung’s disease. He was advised surgery to remove his affected large intestine by duhamell pullthrough surgery. His surgery was done in Akram Medical Complex on 17-10-18 by Dr Naveed Haider. He stayed for 5 days and recovered well in his hospital stay. He was discharged in good health.
