Donate Aroob Ashiq for her Open Heart Surgery
Aroob Ashiq's Story
We cannot let this little girl die just because she cannot afford to live. Let’s support her in her Open Heart Surgery!
Aroob Ashiq is an 8 years old girl who lives in a small town of Pakpattan with her parents, younger sister and grandparents. Just like all other girls, Aroob wishes to study hard and become something in her life when she grows up but her disease is not even giving her a chance to live normally. Aroob was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF – congenital heart condition involving four abnormalities occurring together) when she was only four days old. Her parents brought her to a local hospital in Lahore where she was given a surgery (free of cost) date to repair the defect. On her surgery date, they visited the hospital again but they were informed that her surgery had been postponed.
Years have passed but this poor family is still visiting hospital in hope of free surgical treatment. Doctors keep on telling them to wait because of long list of patients who are already waiting for their surgeries. Aroob’s father has sold his Rickshaw which was his only source of income, to bear the traveling expenses to and from Lahore. Aroob’s father is currently not earning anything as his only focus is his daughter whom he wants to save at any cost. Aroob’s health is deteriorating with each passing day. She often suffers from cough and flu and also experiences breathing difficulty. Her skin often turns blue and she feels weakness all the time due to which she is unable to go to school.
A few weeks ago, this family came to hospital again and stayed outside for a week but nobody paid any attention to them. Luckily, an old patient of Transparent Hands met this family outside the hospital and he guided them to visit the office for their child’s surgical treatment.
Aroob is now scheduled for her Open Heart Surgery in a few days at Ittefaq Hospital but her struggles don’t end here. She needs your immense support in funding for her surgery otherwise she won’t be able to regain her health.
Donate for this little girl as much as you can so that she can get rid of her heart defect and starts growing normally like other kids!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
