Correct Munir’s Heart Defects with Surgery
Muhammad Munir's Story
Muhammad Munir, a 15-year-old boy from Nowshera, KPK, has been suffering from breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Simple activities like playing with his friends and even climbing stairs leave him fatigued and gasping for breath. Worried about his deteriorating health, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a series of tests and examinations, the doctor diagnosed him with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect), RCC (Right Coronary Cusp), and severe AR (Aortic Regurgitation). These are heart defects that affect the flow of oxygenated blood in his body. To correct these heart issues, his doctor advised VSD Closure and AV replacement surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for his family.
Without surgery, Munir’s condition will worsen. It may lead to severe breathing difficulties and potential heart failure. Therefore, timely medical intervention is necessary to save his life.
Munir lives in a small rented home with his parents and five siblings. His father, the sole provider for the family, is a security guard and earns PKR 50,000 per month. With this income, they hardly manage to cover their house rent of PKR 6000, utility bills amounting to PKR 2000, and children’s school fees of PKR 8000. On top of this, they are already burdened with a loan of PKR 120,000, which adds to their daily stress. Due to their financial constraints, affording to pay for Munir’s surgery is significantly challenging for them.
Munir’s parents said with teary eyes:
“Only surgery can save Munir’s life, but we can’t afford it. Kindly help us save our child.”
Munir’s parents live in constant fear of losing their beloved son to a condition they cannot afford to treat. His life and future depend on your kindness. Your support can bring hope back into their lives and give Munir a chance to live a healthy and happy life.
