Correct Fahad’s Heart Defects
Fahad Khan's Story
Fahad Khan, a 4-year-old boy from Bannu, KPK, has been experiencing breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. His tiny body struggles with every breath, and his skin and lips often become blue. Unlike other children of his age, he cannot run or play freely. Even the simplest activities like walking a short distance or laughing too much, leave him gasping for air. Fahad’s parents took him to a local hospital, where doctors conducted a thorough examination and diagnosed Fahad with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a congenital heart defect consisting of four heart malformations. The doctor recommended TOF repair surgery, a complex procedure to correct his heart defects. However, Fahad’s parents can’t afford the surgery.
Without this surgery, Fahad’s condition will continue to deteriorate. His heart will struggle more with each passing day, leading to severe complications that may put his life at risk. He may suffer from heart failure, oxygen deprivation, or even sudden cardiac arrest.
Fahad lives in a small house with his parents and three siblings. His father, the sole breadwinner of the family, works in a hotel and earns only PKR 25,000 per month. On top of their daily struggles, they are also burdened with a loan of PKR 300,000, making it impossible for them to arrange the amount needed for Fahad’s surgery. His mother watches him with teary eyes, knowing that her little boy’s life depends on a surgery they cannot afford. During this moment of desperation, Fahad’s parents have turned to Transparent Hands with a plea for help. His father said in despair:
“Every time Fahad struggles to breathe, I feel like my world is falling apart. I wish I could take away his pain, but I can’t. The only thing I can do is ask for help. Please save my son’s life.”
Fahad’s heart needs mending. With your generous contributions, we can ensure that he gets the life-saving treatment.
Your generosity can give Fahad a chance to run, play, and grow like other children of his age. Let’s stand by him and his family during this time of need and bring hope into their lives.
