Muhammad Javaid's Story

Muhammad Javaid, a 51-year-old man from Bahawalnagar, was spending his life with his family in peace, but life took a tragic turn when he had a road accident in which his right elbow was crushed badly. The doctors had to amputate his arm above the elbow. The condition has limited his ability to perform routine tasks. Javaid is experiencing physical and emotional challenges due to his lost limb. Activities such as wearing clothes, eating, and bathing have become challenging. His doctor recommended an above-elbow prosthesis to make his life easier. However, he cannot afford to pay for the artificial arm.

He is a government employee with a monthly income of PKR 52000, which hardly covers the family’s living expenses as he’s the sole breadwinner. Javaid only has one child who is studying in a school. In addition, he has to pay around PKR 6000 per month for the utility bills. Due to their financial constraints, Javaid is unable to afford the costly above-elbow prosthesis.

In his search for help, Javaid reached out to Transparent Hands. Javaid expressed his grief as follows:

“I feel helpless due to my disability. I want to perform my daily activities without assistance, but my lost right arm prevents me from doing so. I don’t have enough resources to afford the artificial arm. I humbly request all donors to help me in getting this prosthesis.”

Transparent Hands has registered Javaid’s case and is committed to helping him regain his independence.

The artificial arm will play a crucial role in bringing back his autonomy to perform some of the tasks, improving his overall quality of life. We need your contribution to support him. Your donations, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in the life of Muhammad Javaid. Let’s help him now!
