Change Ayyan’s Life with Eye Surgery

Muhammad Ayyan, a 4-year-old boy from Bhakkar, is struggling with his vision. His world is blurry, and he faces difficulty while walking or playing with his siblings. Ayyan’s vision begand deteriorating when he was an infant. He suffered an eye injury after a fall. Though his wound was treated at the time, his vision has gradually deteriorated. This condition is making it challenging for him to learn and grow like other children of his ag. Concerned about his worsening condition, his parents took him to a doctor, who diagnosed him with a cataract in his left eye. The doctor has now advised left lens IOL surgery to restore his sight. However, Ayyan’s family can’t afford the surgery.

If Ayyan does not undergo the surgery, his vision will continue to deteriorate, making even simple tasks difficult for him. Without treatment, he may eventually lose complete vision in his affected eye. 

Ayyan lives with his family in a modest home. His father, the sole breadwinner, works as a driver and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. With limited income, he struggles to meet household expenses, which include PKR 1500 for utility bills and PKR 1000 for his children’s school fees. Providing basic necessities is already a challenge, placing the cost of Ayyan’s surgery completely out of reach for them. His parents long to see their child live a normal life, but financial constraints stand in their way. 

Ayyan’s father shared his plea as follows:

“I work hard to provide for my family, but I cannot afford my son’s surgery. Seeing him struggle breaks my heart. I just want him to have a bright future, and to see the world like other children. Please help us during this difficult time.”
