Ayat Fatima Needs Your Help to Discover the World of Sounds

Ayat Fatima's Story
Ayat Fatima, a 1-year-old girl from Jhang, has spent her first year in silence. Unlike other children of her age who react with joy to their parents’ voices, Ayat remains unresponsive. Her parents first noticed something was wrong when she didn’t turn her head towards familiar sounds. As weeks turned into months, their concern grew deeper. They took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing detailed diagnostic tests, Ayat was diagnosed with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. Her doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery as the only hope for her to hear and eventually develop speech. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s financial capacity.
If Ayat does not receive this surgery on time, she may lose the crucial opportunity to develop speech and language skills. The earlier she receives the cochlear implant, the better her chances of speech and language development, which are essential at her age.
Ayat lives in a modest home with her five family members. Ayat’s father is a police constable and is working hard to provide for his family. With his modest monthly income, the family struggles to manage the expenses of daily life, including school fees, groceries, and utility bills. The cost of cochlear implant surgery is simply too high for them to bear on their own.
Ayat’s family shared their deepest worries as follows:
“It breaks our hearts to see her so quiet in a world so full of sounds. Every child deserves a chance to grow, learn, and communicate. You can change her future.”
Let’s stand together to give Ayat the gift of hearing. Your support can help her take her first steps towards a better future filled with sounds and possibilities.
