Asif Ali, aged thirty five years, a resident of Pakpattan, would have never thought that his life would change in a blink of an eye. Three years ago, while Asif was out earning a living, he met with a tragic accident. Asif was hit by a truck that badly injured his leg. He was rushed to the hospital. Upon evaluation, the doctors found that his left leg had been badly crushed below the knee level. Doctors told Asif that they will have to amputate his left leg below the knee.

Asif worked as a Rickshaw driver before the unfortunate accident and was the only person to financially support the house. Asif and his wife live in a rented house with their children. Asif had lost all hopes in life until he found out about Transparent hands through a friend.

“This tragedy has affected my life in so many ways. I am the only person responsible for raising a family of seven.  In these circumstances and financial constraints, it is impossible for me to afford my left prosthetic leg. Now that we are connected with Transparent Hands, I see a ray of hope.”
