Mai Arbab Khatoon's Story

Arbab Khatoon, a 42-year-old resident of Jaffarabad, Balochistan, finds herself in a desperate situation as she eagerly awaits the arrival of her sixth child. However, her joy is overshadowed by the concern she feels due to the medical advice she received from a lady gynaecologist. With just a few weeks remaining until her due date, the doctor recommended a C-section delivery due to Arbab Khatoon’s previous history and pregnancy related complications.

Living in a small mud house with one room in the village area of Jaffarabad with her husband and five children, Arbab Khatoon’s financial situation is dire. Her husband is the sole earner of the family, working as a farmer on a small piece of cultivated land. Despite his hard work, he earns only PKR 20,000, which is barely enough to cover their daily expenses, food, and a loan of PKR 300,000 that they must repay.

Arbab Khatoon understands the importance of a safe delivery for both herself and her unborn child. She knows that a C-section is necessary to ensure their well-being, but the financial burden associated with the procedure seems insurmountable. Faced with this challenging predicament, Arbab Khatoon reaches out to the community, hoping for support and assistance.

With heartfelt sincerity and a deep desire for a safe delivery, she shares her plea:

“I humbly appeal to kind souls to assist me in undergoing the recommended procedure so that I can bring my child into this world safely, with peace of mind and joy in my heart.”

Arbab Khatoon’s plea reflects the urgency and genuine concern she feels for her unborn child. In her time of need, she turned to Transparent Hands, hoping for our support. Due to her age and the complications she faced in her previous pregnancies, she received a consultation from a doctor. After running some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan, the doctor advised that a C-section was the safest option for both her and the baby.
