Ali Needs Your Support to See the World Clearly
Ali Husnain's Story
Ali Husnain, a 5-year-old boy from Mian Channu, suffers from blurry and dim vision. His condition has affected his ability to play with toys, engage in physical activities, and interact with his friends. The visual impairment has led to frustration, making him more dependent on his parents. Concerned about his condition, Ali’s family took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After running some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed Ali with bilateral cataract and recommended for bilateral Lens Matter Aspiration (LMA) resulting in Aphakia. Later on, he developed difficulty in focusing. Now, his doctor advised right secondary IOL surgery but the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s reach.
If Ali does not undergo secondary IOL surgery, he is more likely to develop glaucoma over time. This condition may lead to significant visual impairment, increased intraocular pressure, and potential vision loss. It will impact his developmental and social skills as he grows.
Ali lives in a modest rented house with his five family members. His father, the sole provider for the family, is a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 35000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, they barely pay for house rent amounting to PKR 6500, utility bills of PKR 2000, and food expenses. The family’s financial situation is stretched thin and they can’t afford to pay for his surgery. During this challenging time, Ali’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.
Ali’s parents described their heartfelt plight as follows:
“As parents, watching our son struggle with this eye condition has been heartbreaking. His daily activities are filled with challenges, and we want to give him the chance to see the world clearly. Your generous donations can help him undergo the surgery and restore his joy. Please help us.”

Ali Husnain's Story
Ali Husnain, a 5-year-old boy from Mian Channu, had been struggling with blurry and dim vision from a young age. His condition made it difficult for him to play freely, explore his surroundings, and engage in activities with other children. Simple joys like playing with his toys or running around with friends became challenging. Worried about their son’s worsening condition, Ali’s parents took him to a nearby hospital for a detailed medical evaluation. The doctor conducted several tests and diagnosed him with bilateral cataract. To address the issue, Ali underwent bilateral Lens Matter Aspiration (LMA), which resulted in Aphakia—a condition where the natural lens of the eye is missing. However, as time passed, Ali began to experience difficulty in focusing, which started affecting his developmental milestones and social interactions.
After a follow-up consultation, the doctor recommended a secondary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation for Ali’s right eye to help restore proper vision. This surgery was crucial for improving his focus and supporting his overall growth. However, the cost of the surgery was overwhelming for his family.
Ali lived in a small rented house with his parents and three siblings. His father, the only earning member of the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 35,000 a month. With such limited income, the family struggled to meet even their basic needs, leaving no room for the high cost of surgery. Desperate to find a solution, Ali’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands. Understanding the situation, we quickly registered him and arranged for his surgical treatment.
On February 14, 2025, Ali was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital in Multan. Dr. Sadaqat successfully performed his surgery on February 15, 2025. Ikram was discharged in stable condition on the same day.
Ali’s father expressed his heartfelt gratitude as follows: "Watching my son struggle to see broke my heart every single day. Today, Ali can see better and smiles more often—all because of your kindness. Thank you!"
Ali is now recovering. With improved vision, he can now re-engage with the world around him. His family is incredibly grateful to you for playing a key role in making his surgery possible.
