Abdul Hadi Awaits VSD Closure Surgery
Abdul Hadi's Story
Abdul Hadi, a 12-year-old boy from Gujranwala, has never known a life without struggle. Since birth, he has battled with shortness of breath and repeated episodes of chest infections. Unlike other children of his age who run and play freely, Abdul Hadi finds himself gasping for air. Hoping for answers, Abdul Hadi’s parents took him to a doctor for a detailed medical check-up. After performing some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed him with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Right Coronary Cusp Prolapse (RCCP), Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (LVOTO), and Mild Aortic Regurgitation (AR). His condition is serious, and the only way to save his life is through VSD Closure Surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his family’s reach.
Without surgery, his symptoms will worsen, putting him at risk of severe heart failure. His breathing difficulties may increase, limiting his ability to perform even the most basic daily activities.
Abdul Hadi lives in a modest home with his parents. His father is the only breadwinner in the family, earning just PKR 30,000 per month by repairing washing machines. With this modest income, he struggles to meet household expenses and provide for his family’s needs. The financial burden of Abdul Hadi’s surgery is overwhelming, leaving his parents feeling lost and desperate. Despite working hard, his father simply cannot arrange the amount needed to save his son’s life. During this time of need, Abdul Hadi reached out to Transparent Hand and asked for help.
With a heavy heart, Abdul Hadi’s mother shared her fears as follows:
“My child has suffered since the day he was born. Every breath he takes is a struggle. I have been praying for his recovery for a long time. We have done everything we can, but we are helpless. As parents, we just want our son to live a normal and healthy life. Please help our son in undergoing the surgery.”
Abdul Hadi’s heart defects need to be corrected. He deserves to live a healthy life and only your support can help him receive the life-saving heart surgery. Please donate today and give Abdul Hadi the chance to live a healthy and happy life.

Abdul Hadi's Story
Abdul Hadi, a 12-year-old boy from Gujranwala, has been battling with shortness of breath and recurrent bouts of chest infections since birth. He couldn’t enjoy the cherished moments of his childhood due to his heart complications. Activities like walking around his house or playing with his friends made him breathless and feel fatigued. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Abdul Hadi with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Right Coronary Cusp Prolapse (RCCP), Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (LVOTO), and Mild Aortic Regurgitation (AR). To treat this issue, the doctor advised VSD Closure Surgery. However, the cost of the surgery was out of his family’s reach.
Abdul Hadi lives in a modest home with his parents. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, repairs washing machines and earns just PKR 30,000 per month. This income was insignificant to cover their utility bills and food expenses. After covering their essentials, they were left with nothing to set aside for a costly heart surgery. During this challenging time, Abdul Hadi’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help. After assessing his condition, we promptly registered his case.
On June 20, 2025, Abdul Hadi was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital. The next day, Dr. Fiaz Rasool expertly performed his VSD closure surgery. The surgery was a remarkable success, and Abdul Hadi’s life was saved. On June 24, 2025, Abdul Hadi was discharged in stable condition from the hospital.
Abdul Hadi’s parents described their happiness as follows:
“This surgery has changed Abdul Hadi’s life in ways we never thought possible. We were losing hope, but your support came at the perfect time. Our son is saved now, and all this happened just because of your generosity. Thanks for being there for us.”
Abdul Hadi is recovering now. He will soon be able to spend a healthy and fulfilling life like other children. His family is grateful to you and the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation for helping them during their challenging time.
