Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp to help underprivileged people in Quetta. We aim to provide medical assistance to impoverished people who can’t access quality healthcare. Quetta, a populous city, faces significant challenges when it comes to providing quality healthcare to low-income residents. Through this camp, their health issues will be managed and they will be provided with free medications, consultations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
Challenges
Despite its status as a major city in Pakistan, many needy individuals are unable to access essential medical care. Due to their financial hardships, many residents can’t obtain essential healthcare services, which turns their minor issues into complicated ones.
In Quetta, the widespread health issues include respiratory tract infections and gastrointestinal issues. Typhoid, malaria, and hepatitis are also prevalent, causing significant health risks to the community.
Solution
To tackle these health issues faced by the underprivileged communities of Quetta, we are going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session. This free medical camp will play a crucial role in catering to the health needs of the diverse community. Moreover, the distribution of free medicines in addition to the diagnostic tests and consultations will make sure that no one will be left behind in accessing quality healthcare.

Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Innovative Development Organization (IDO), and the generous support of Soorty Foundation, recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare to underprivileged patients. The free medical camp was held on November 19, 2024, at Primary School, Killi Sardar Satakzai, Union Council, Quetta.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 460 needy patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of charge. At the free medical camp, most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, diabetes, body pains, cough, skin allergies, scabies, fever, and stomach issues. Free medicines were given to a large number of impoverished patients.
Preventive Healthcare Session
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of Scabies.

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 460 needy patients and their families. In Quetta, our medical camp successfully reached a diverse audience, providing essential healthcare services. The camp offered free consultations that addressed various health concerns, promoting a sense of security and well-being among attendees. Moreover, patients were provided with medicines as well as diagnostic tests which benefited them a lot.

The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including two supervisors, 3 doctors (two males and one female), 2 lab technicians, 2 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars, 1 photographer, and 1 driver.
