Overview:

Transparent Hands aims to set up a free medical camp in Sehwan Sindh. At this medical camp, hundreds of patients belonging to underprivileged communities will receive the following services from our team of excellent doctors and specialists,

  • Free Hepatitis B & C Screenings
  • Free BSR & Blood Pressure Tests
  • Free Medical & Surgical Treatments

 

Challenge:

The residents of Sehwan, Sindh, lack access to healthcare facilities. Many of the area’s local hospitals are overburdened and people die due to treatable diseases. Some of the diseases faced by the people of Sehwan are caused by issues like water scarcity, air pollution, lack of hygiene, and inadequate sanitation. Commonly reported diseases to include high blood pressure, diabetes, hepatitis, and gastrointestinal problems. The residents of Sehwan need quality surgical and medical care and pediatric care to overcome these health problems.


Our Solution:

 

To tackle this challenge, Transparent Hands plans to organize a free medical camp where impoverished patients will receive free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests. In addition, Transparent Hands registers deserving patients who need surgeries and medical procedures. They are treated at one of our panel hospitals free of charge. We need your support to provide quality health care to the underprivileged in Sawan, Sindh. Donate generously to help them. 


Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality health care available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Govt Primary School, Samtani Village, near Sehwan, Sindh, on July 2, 2022.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 453 deserving patients received free consultations by expert doctors. Medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and blood pressure check-ups were also provided free of charge.

Preventive Healthcare Session on Personal Hygiene

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp in Samtani. The session focused on personal hygiene. The doctors discussed how the lack of personal hygiene can cause health problems and the ways to improve personal hygiene.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from asthma, allergies, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 2% of the tested patients had hepatitis C and 3% had hepatitis B.

Impact

The free medical camp in Samtani Village, Sehwan, Sindh, made a difference in the lives of 453 deserving patients and their families. Thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring quality health care to even more impoverished, remote, and rural areas of the country.

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 21 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (two females and two males), two nurses, three pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and six crew workers.
