Transparent Hands aims to organize a free medical camp for the residents of Maso Sahar, Dadu, Sindh. At this medical camp, hundreds of deserving and vulnerable patients will receive the following healthcare services from our team of dedicated doctors and specialists:

Challenge:
Situated in Sindh, Masoo Sahar is a village with a population of over 3,000 people. It was established in 1721. The most common diseases faced by the people of this area include Tuberculosis (TB), Leishmaniasis, and hepatitis. A large number of the residents of Masoo Sahar do not have access to health care facilities. The local hospitals are often overburdened and people die due to treatable diseases.

Transparent Hands aims to set up a free medical camp to bring quality health care to the underprivileged people of Masoo Sahar, Dadu. At the medical camp, hundreds of patients belonging to underprivileged communities will receive free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines. Transparent Hands recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare treatments available to poor patients. The free medical camp was held at Sindh Foundation Public School, Masoo Sahar, Sindh, on June 29, 2022.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 329 patients belonging to vulnerable communities received free consultations by expert doctors. Medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and blood pressure check-ups were also provided free of charge.
Preventive Healthcare Session on Hypertension
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp in Masoo Sahar. The session focused on the symptoms and causes of hypertension. The doctors also discussed how it can be avoided.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from allergies, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 12% of the tested patients had Hepatitis C.
Impact
The free medical camp in Masoo Sahar, Sindh, made a difference in the lives of 329 poor patients and their families. Thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring quality health care to even more impoverished, remote, and rural areas of Pakistan.
Medical Camp Team
The medical camp team consisted of 20 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (two females and two males), two nurses, three pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and five crew workers.
