Transparent Hands is going to organize a free Medical Camp in Chanesar Goth, Sindh. In this medical camp, our team of dedicated doctors and specialists will provide the following healthcare facilities to deserving people in Chanesar Goth:

- Free Medical & Surgical Cases Treatment
Challenge:
Chanesar Goth is a neighborhood in Karachi East district of Karachi, Pakistan. It is home to several ethnic groups including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras Ismailis, and Christians. Chanesar Goth is an underdeveloped area with little to no access to quality healthcare. Therefore, the residents keep suffering in silence, and minor ailments often turn into acute diseases and worsen the sufferings. It is common knowledge that poor living standards result in adverse effects on the general health and wellbeing of the residents, causing short-term illnesses such as eye, nose, and throat infections, Hepatitis, Diabetes, and Hypertension. Over time, the mentioned illnesses have the potential of becoming acute.

Access to better healthcare facilities is essential to save the lives of those affected with viral infections. Transparent Hands is determined to alleviate the sufferings of the rural community in Chanesar Goth by providing them free and quality healthcare services in Pakistan and Hepatitis screening. Transparent Hands recently held another free medical camp to bring quality health care to underprivileged communities. The medical camp was held at Govt Boys Secondary School, Channessor Goth, Mehmoodabad, Karachi, on February 20, 2022.
Free consultations and diagnostic tests
A total of 234 deserving patients received free consultations. Medicines as well as blood sugar and blood pressure tests were provided free of charge.
Medical camp team
The medical camp was organized and managed by Transparent Hands. The team consisted of 20 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), two nurses (one female and two males), four pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and four crew workers.
COVID SOPs
All COVID SOPs such as wearing face masks, hand sanitization, and social distancing were followed at the medical camp. In addition, the patients received face masks and hand sanitizers free of charge.
Diseases and treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from cough, fever, flu, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, and allergies. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. The medical camp team did not find any surgical cases.
Impact
By supporting this free medical camp in Channessor Goth, Mehmoodabad, Karachi, our donors made a difference in the lives of more than 230 patients and their families. Transparent Hands aims to arrange 100 free medical camps across the country this year. Thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring free medical care to even more underprivileged and remote areas of Pakistan.
