Make Healthcare Accessible to the Needy in Kasur

Transparent Hands is arranging another free medical camp and preventive healthcare session in Kasur. We have recognized Kasur as an area where many underprivileged individuals are awaiting necessary medical interventions. Given their healthcare challenges, we aim to provide them with free medical checkups, lab tests, ultrasound scans as well as medicines. This free medical camp will also support Pakistan in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 which focuses on ensuring good health and well-being.

Challenges
Kasur has a rich history that goes all the way back to the Mughal period and the Sikh empire. Unfortunately, the residents belonging to low-income communities face immense challenges in receiving timely medical services. Many existing healthcare facilities lack the necessary equipment and resources to provide quality care to their residents.
According to a report, contaminated drinking water and poor hygiene issues have led to various waterborne diseases in Kasur including typhoid, giardiasis, diarrhea, intestinal worms, and gastroenteritis.

Solution
To tackle these health challenges faced by the residents of Kasur, Transparent Hands has decided to set up a free medical camp to facilitate the underserved community. By providing essential healthcare services, we aim to manage their health conditions and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
