Let’s Provide Eye Care Services to the Needy in Lahore

Transparent Hands plans to organize a free eye camp to help underprivileged people in Lahore. We aim to provide quality eye care to those who are suffering from impaired vision for years and are struggling to overcome it. Through this eye camp, we hope to reach the underserved communities of Lahore, offering them the gift of clear sight and a bright future.

Challenges
Despite living in an urban city, many of those who belong to low-income communities are unable to access quality eye care services. They cannot afford routine eye check-ups, leading to undiagnosed and untreated vision problems.

Patients in Lahore are suffering from a long list of eye issues like cataract, conjunctivitis, glaucoma, myopia, hypermetropia, and refractive errors which often go unnoticed until they become severe. These eye problems affect the daily lives and livelihoods of many individuals. According to a study, cataract is the leading cause of blindness (51.5%), followed by corneal opacity (11.8%) in Pakistan.
Children and the elderly are also vulnerable, with vision impairments affecting their ability to learn, work, and live independently. Without timely intervention, these conditions can lead to permanent vision loss.

Solution
To address these health challenges, we will arrange a free eye camp in Lahore. It will help deserving patients in the early detection of their vision problems and eye diseases. Bringing these services to vulnerable communities will reduce the burden of eye diseases and improve the well-being of Lahore’s residents. Our team of experienced ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals will provide the following free eye care services at the camp:
