Let’s Provide a Healthy Future for the Needy in Chitral
Transparent Hands has been providing free healthcare services to thousands of needy patients by organizing medical camps in Pakistan’s low-income and vulnerable areas. This time, we are going to organize a free medical camp in Chitral to help the impoverished people. This initiative will provide invaluable medical services to the needy residents of Chitral. Our medical team will offer free check-ups, laboratory tests, and medications to hundreds of deserving patients.
Challenges:
Located in KPK, Chitral is known for its breathtaking landscapes and magnificence. However, the region lacks many medical facilities. The local hospitals in Chitral often don’t have the capacity and facilities to cater to all the needs of the patients.
Many patients suffer from treatable diseases and are awaiting crucial medical check-ups and surgeries. Due to their financial constraints, they can’t afford the expensive treatments at private hospitals, and public hospitals are often overburdened and located far away.
The community suffers from various respiratory diseases, often peaking during the winter. Many cardiovascular and infectious diseases are also common.
Solution:
To address these health issues faced by the residents of Chitral, Transparent Hands is going to arrange a medical camp there. This camp will provide early diagnosis and treatments for various health conditions, improving health outcomes for the population. Our experienced medical team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers will provide the following free medical services.

To educate the community regarding the early detection and diagnosis of one of the common health issues faced in Chitral, we will organize a preventive healthcare session. This session will empower them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve their quality of life.

Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide essential healthcare services to underprivileged communities in Kalash Valley. The camp was held on 7th September 2024 in Bumburet Valley, Kalash, Chitral, with the collaboration of PPAF & GAAP.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:
A total of 303 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, blood pressure check-ups, ultrasound scans, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of charge. - Abdominal pain, diarrhea, and acidity
Preventive Healthcare Session
In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors delivered a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of Hypertension.
Impact
This free medical camp significantly impacted the lives of 303 deserving patients and their families. By providing access to essential healthcare, this camp helped individuals who might not have regular access to medical facilities. Services included general health check-ups, screenings, medications, and treatments, ensuring needy individuals received necessary preventive care.
This camp contributed to reducing health issues and promoted overall well-being among the residents of the area. Moreover, the preventive healthcare session benefited the attendees at the camp, encouraging them to fight hypertension and improve their quality of life.
