Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session for mothers and children in Karachi. We’re holding it under our new mother and child initiative, which is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3. Making essential healthcare services accessible for all mothers and children is necessary, otherwise, patients from low-income families will continue to suffer. Stand with us as we empower mothers and ensure a healthy future for numerous children.
Challenges
Besides being the largest city in Pakistan, Karachi is home to the main seaports of Pakistan and serves as a major hub for commerce, transportation, and industry. Despite its status as a major city in Pakistan, many deserving patients are unable to access essential healthcare services. For a long time, many mothers have been suffering from gynecological issues and children are experiencing growth and nutrition-related issues. Financial constraints are a significant obstacle on their path towards recovery.
According to the World Bank, Sindh has a pregnancy-related death rate of 345 per 100,000 live births and a maternal mortality rate of 224 per 100,000 live births. These statistics highlight the need to improve health outcomes for the underprivileged communities in Karachi.
Solution
In response to these health issues, Transparent Hands is going to arrange a free medical camp under the recently launched mother and child healthcare initiative. A large number of needy patients will be able to assess quality healthcare. This camp will empower mothers to address their gynecological issues, allowing them to lead healthier lives. Children will receive screenings and treatments, enabling them to grow properly. Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and volunteers will provide the following healthcare services at the free medical camp in Karachi.
· Consultations with a pediatrician
· Gynecological check-ups for women
· Blood Pressure check-ups
· Nutritional screening for children
· BMI calculation
· Blood sugar tests
· CBC
· Ultrasound scans for women
· Preventive Healthcare Session
· Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered
Preventive Healthcare Session
Our medical experts will also conduct a preventive healthcare session to educate the residents about one of the common health issues in Karachi. By raising awareness, we aim to create lasting improvements in the health of families and their communities.
This initiative needs your support. Your donations can provide essential healthcare services to the most deserving mothers and children in Karachi. Together, we can alleviate the burden of preventable diseases and create a healthier, and happier future for underserved families in Karachi.
