Challenges
In Karol Village, many individuals face vision problems. They are unable to undergo treatments due to financial constraints and lack of access to quality eye care facilities. Vision issues such as blurry vision and cataracts are common, especially among the elderly. These untreated conditions make daily tasks difficult, reducing the ability to work, study, and participate in family life.
Studies show that cataract affects approximately 51% of the population in Pakistan, and there are alarming rates of conditions like conjunctivitis in the region.
Our Solution
The upcoming eye camp in Karol Village aims to address these challenges. Transparent Hands is bringing experienced ophthalmologists, nurses, and volunteers to provide free eye care services to the community. Transparent Hands recently organized a free eye camp in collaboration with Life Hospital. We provided quality healthcare to hundreds of underprivileged patients. The camp was held on December 5th, 2024, at Dera Ch. Sabir Goraya near Dr. Kashif Clinic, Karol Village, Lahore. The attendees appreciated the arrangements made by Transparent Hands and were thankful to our team for organizing the eye camp.
Healthcare Services:
A total of 340 deserving patients received the following free healthcare services at the medical camp in Lahore:
- Eye Checkups
- Medicines
- Eye Glasses
Common Diagnoses:
The most prevalent conditions diagnosed during the camp included:
- Cataracts
- Conjunctivitis
- Other eye diseases
During the camp, 32 patients were identified for cataract surgery. These cases were registered with Transparent Hands for further treatment.

The free medical camp positively impacted the lives of 340 deserving patients and their families. They appreciated the dedication and expertise of Transparent Hand’s team.
