Kotri is an underserved region of Sindh and the shortage of medical services leaves many needy individuals with undiagnosed and untreated health issues. Considering the need for quality healthcare services in Kotri, we have planned another free medical camp in Kotri. People will receive free consultations, diagnostic tests, screenings, medicines as well as treatments.
Challenges
The people of Kotri continue to face immense challenges in accessing essential healthcare services. Many families live in low-income areas where medical facilities are inadequate, leaving them unable to receive timely treatment. The financial strain further limits their ability to seek quality care or purchase necessary medications. Health education is also lacking in the community, leading to negligence of preventive measures and an overall decline in health standards.
In Kotri, the significant health issues are malaria, dengue fever, and waterborne illnesses such as diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera. Besides this, some skin diseases are also common, impacting the community’s health.
Solution
In response to these ongoing health concerns, Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Kotri. This camp will provide free medical check-ups, diagnostic tests, and medicines to needy individuals there. Our dedicated team of doctors and healthcare workers will be on board to ensure that everyone receives appropriate care and attention. By bringing healthcare services directly to the community, we aim to make quality medical assistance accessible to all. Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of Rafhan Maize Products Co Ltd, recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide essential medical support to needy patients. The free medical camp was held at Govt. Primary School, TNT Colony Kotri, District Jamshoro on November 30, 2024.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 810 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of charge. Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from skin allergies, fever, diabetes, body pain, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of needy patients.
