Transparent Hands conducted a successful free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on December 28, 2023, at US Apparel and Textiles, Glaxo Town, Lahore. This initiative aimed to provide high-quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients residing in the area.

Range of Medical Services

During this event, 386 deserving patients received complimentary consultations with experienced doctors. Additionally, attendees had access to essential medical services such as medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, ultrasound examinations, cholesterol assessments, and blood pressure check-ups. Notably, the medical camp addressed common health issues like flu, allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach problems, without registering any surgical cases.

Preventive Healthcare Session

A significant aspect of the camp was an informative session on preventive healthcare conducted by a skilled doctor. This session focused specifically on the prevention and management of scabies, aiming to educate participants on effective preventive measures.

Impact on Beneficiaries and Community

The impact of this initiative was profound, positively affecting the lives of 386 deserving patients and their families. This successful endeavor was made possible through the invaluable support of dedicated donors committed to Transparent Hands’ mission of extending superior healthcare services to impoverished, remote, and rural areas.

Comprehensive Medical Facilities and Team Composition

Throughout the Lahore medical camp, a wide array of crucial medical facilities were provided, encompassing consultations with expert doctors, the distribution of necessary medications, various diagnostic tests, and screenings. Furthermore, the preventive healthcare session played a pivotal role in promoting wellness and educating participants on preventive measures. The camp was orchestrated by a dedicated team consisting of 14 individuals, including a supervisor, three doctors (two males and one female), a lab technician, a staff nurse, a pharmacist, two patient registrars/crew members, four volunteers, and a photographer.
