Challenges
Located around 90 kilometers from Karachi, Kotri faces serious health challenges due to poor living conditions and limited essential services.
The local community struggles with the issue of brackish drinking water, endangering residents’ health. This contaminated water increases blood pressure, risks cardiovascular diseases, such as heart enlargement, and causes gastric ulcers. Furthermore, the scarcity of clean water raises the likelihood of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, harming the community’s well-being.
Kotri’s lack of sufficient healthcare facilities makes it difficult for pregnant women to receive necessary prenatal care and safe childbirth services. This lack of transportation creates obstacles to reaching healthcare services promptly, leading to late diagnosis, delayed treatments, and poorer health outcomes.
Our Solution
At Transparent Hands, we firmly believe in the fundamental right to healthcare for all. Our unwavering commitment is focused on providing vital medical assistance to the marginalized community in Kotri, where access to quality healthcare remains a significant challenge. Our mission goes beyond just delivering essential medical relief; we also strive to empower residents with knowledge about maintaining healthy lifestyles and practicing good hygiene to prevent diseases.
We also refer patients in need of surgery or medical procedures to one of our hospitals on the panel. We sincerely appeal to your generous support in our mission to ensure that the people of Kotri receive the comprehensive healthcare services they rightfully deserve. Together, let us tirelessly work towards achieving this crucial goal, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of every individual in Kotri.
