Challenges 

Alipur Kanju is a village in the Lodhran district. It is spread over an area of 1,790 square kilometers. According to the census results from 2017, the district had a population of more than 1,699,693. The village has poor sanitation and access to clean drinking water, which increases the risk of water-borne diseases. Other common health problems are maternal and child health issues, and chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease.

Our Solution 

Transparent Hands plans to arrange a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session on the causes and prevention of malaria, dengue, and typhoid for deserving patients residing in the village of Alipur Kanju, Lodhran. The doctors and specialists will provide free consultations, medicines, and the aforementioned diagnostic tests. The patients who need surgeries or other medical treatment will be registered with Transparent Hands and referred to one of our panel hospitals. Most Common Diseases 

The patients were diagnosed with a wide range of health problems, such as fever, flu, cough, asthma, seasonal allergies, kidney pain, weak eyesight, cardiovascular issues, typhoid, urine infection, toothache, paralysis, chest infection, and diarrhea, high blood pressure, skin infection, hemorrhoids, and hepatitis B and C. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

A doctor held a preventive healthcare session for all attendees at the medical camp. The doctor briefed the attendees to raise awareness about kidney disease prevention and treatment. 

Impact 

The free medical camp in Lodhran made a difference in the lives of 575 deserving people, including a large number of women and children, by addressing their medical needs. This community suffered due to a lack of doctors and quality healthcare facilities. Our dedicated team of medical professionals examined the patients using the latest diagnostic equipment. Patients were given free medicines as well as a preventive healthcare session on kidney disease prevention.  

Thousands of donors from all over the world are helping Transparent Hands champion the noble cause of providing quality healthcare facilities to underprivileged people in different parts of the country.
