Challenge:
Gujar Khan is a city in Rawalpindi District, Pakistan. It is actually the headquarters of Gujar Khan tehsil which is the largest tehsil of Punjab by land. Many residents of city are unable to access quality health care. In addition, a lot of the local hospitals in the area are overburdened. As a result, the people of this area often suffer treatable diseases, including acute respiratory infections, diarrhea, malaria, gastrointestinal infections, viral hepatitis, hypertension, and diabetes.
Our Solution:
Transparent Hands aims to bridge the gap between the disadvantaged and quality health care by arranging a free medical camp in Gujar Khan. Transparent Hands is determined to meet the healthcare needs of hundreds of people in this area. We will provide free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests. In addition, deserving patients that need surgeries and medical procedures will be registered by Transparent and treated at one of our panel hospitals. Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive health care session in partnership with Haq Trust, Gujjar Khan, to provide impoverished people with access to high-quality health care. The free medical camp was held at the Haq Trust Medical Center, Gujjar Khan.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
Our medical team of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists provided comprehensive medical care to 241 deserving patients. Services offered at the camp were:

- Medicines
- Hepatitis B & C Screenings
- Blood Sugar Test
- Blood Pressure Checkup
- Uric Acid Test
- Cholesterol Test
- Ultrasound
- Typhoid Test
Diseases and Treatments
The patients had a variety of health issues, including the flu, cough, fever, seasonal allergies, diarrhea, diabetes, abdominal pain, skin infections, Hepatitis C, migraine, and body pain. A total of 267 screening tests were also performed. Four surgical cases were also registered.
Impact
This free medical camp impacted and helped 241 patients and their families by addressing their medical needs in various ways. Patients got free health consultations, disease screenings and diagnoses, medicines, and referrals to hospitals on our panel for further treatment.

Medical Camp Team
The medical camp team consisted of 19 members, including two supervisors, seven doctors (five males and two females), two lab technicians, two pharmacists, two patient registrars, one staff nurse, two crew members, and one photographer.
