Transparent Hands has been providing free treatments to thousands of deserving patients annually by arranging free medical camps across Pakistan. Since the residents of Karachi face many hundreds in accessing quality healthcare, we’ve been holding our medical camps in various low-income and vulnerable areas of the city. This month, we are going to arrange a medical camp at NGO World’s School in Karachi. Hundreds of students and those who live in the nearby communities will benefit from the services provided by our medical team. Our qualified medical team will provide various free healthcare services including consultations, diagnostic tests, and medications.

Challenges:

Due to financial constraints, many students and residents of this area can’t access basic health facilities. They rely upon the overburdened public hospitals, which often results in delayed medical treatments. The underprivileged people in Karachi suffer from many health issues, including respiratory diseases, and stomach issues. Due to poor sanitation, water-borne diseases like diarrhea, typhoid, and dysentery are usually found among the underserved communities of Karachi.

Solution:

To improve the quality of life of students and the nearby communities, Transparent Hands will be organizing a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session. Hundreds of patients will get necessary check-ups and medical treatments. Our dedicated medical team of doctors, nurses, volunteers, and lab technicians will provide the following free services to the underserved community.

Free Eye Check-Ups
Free Eye Glasses
Free Gynecology Check-Ups
Free General Check-Ups
Free Hepatitis B & C Screenings
Free Uric Acid Tests
Free BSR (Blood Sugar) Tests
Free Blood Pressure Monitoring
Preventive Healthcare Session
Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered

Preventive Healthcare Session:

At our upcoming medical camp, we will also conduct an interactive preventive healthcare session to educate people regarding disease prevention and management. Our skilled doctors will educate them about the importance of precautionary measures and regular health check-ups.

 Preventive Healthcare Session

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on personal hygiene. The doctors discussed how the lack of personal hygiene can lead to various health issues and the ways to improve personal hygiene.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from skin allergies, fever, diabetes, body pains, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, flu, and body weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 3% of the tested patients had Hepatitis C and 2% had Hepatitis B.

Impact

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 977 deserving patients. Despite living in an urban city, many needy patients were suffering from chronic health issues and awaiting necessary treatments. We helped them by providing free diagnostic tests, check-ups, medications, and treatments. For them, timely diagnosis of their illnesses meant that they could begin necessary treatments and prevent potential complications.

Moreover, the distribution of free medicines ensured that no one was left behind in accessing quality healthcare due to financial constraints.

We succeeded in our mission to provide essential health services to the underprivileged communities of Karachi just because of your donations. Your contributions positively impacted their lives.
