Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of PPAF & TWO, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare to underprivileged communities in Chitral. The free medical camp was held on 8th September 2024 in Osiak Village, Drosh, Lower Chitral.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:

A total of 317 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, blood pressure check-ups, ultrasound scans, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of charge. Here is a summary of different diagnostic tests provided at the free medical camp.

  •         Diabetes and high blood pressure
  •         Abdominal pain, diarrhea, and acidity

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of Scabies. Through this session, individuals were given the knowledge to fight this common disease and improve their health status.

Impact

This free medical camp significantly impacted the lives of 317 deserving patients and their families. It offered numerous benefits and improved low-income communities’ health and well-being. Firstly, we provided free health services to needy individuals who lack access to medical facilities. Additionally, we facilitated the early detection of diseases, leading to better treatment outcomes and reduced long-term healthcare costs.
