Transparent Hands, in collaboration with Inspire Pakistan, recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Al-Raheem Marriage, near Saggiyan Pul, Shahdara, Lahore on August 11, 2023.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 595 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors, essential medicines, and various diagnostic tests. The camp facilitated services such as diabetes, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasound examinations, and cholesterol, and blood pressure checkups. By removing financial barriers, the medical camp ensured that residents had convenient access to much-needed healthcare services, promoting the overall well-being of the community.  A total of 140 lab tests were also conducted.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from flu, allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues.  No surgical case was registered.

Preventive Healthcare Session on Scabies

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management and prevention of scabies.

Impact

By providing free consultations, essential medicines, and diagnostic tests to 595 deserving patients, the camp successfully removed financial barriers and ensured convenient access to much-needed healthcare services. This initiative played a crucial role in promoting the overall well-being of the community, as residents were able to receive quality healthcare that they might have otherwise been unable to afford.

Additionally, the camp’s focus on preventive healthcare, such as the informative session on scabies, empowered attendees with knowledge and tools to manage and prevent illnesses, leading to improved health outcomes in the long run.

Overall, the free medical camp at Saggiyan Pul with preventive healthcare session made a powerful impact by providing accessible healthcare services, promoting health education, and addressing prevalent diseases.
