Our Free Medical Camp Uplifted Low-Income Communities in Jaranwala

Transparent Hands, in sponsorship with Packages Group, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare to underprivileged patients. This took place at the Packages Purchase Center in Jaranwala on April 24, 2024, ensuring that those in need had access to essential medical services without any financial burden. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 410 deserving patients were provided with free consultations by expert doctors. In addition, essential services such as medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B and C screenings, ultrasounds, cholesterol checks, and blood pressure checkups were also offered free of charge to the patients.

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, sore throat, chest congestion,  flu, earache, toothache, seasonal allergies, muscle pain, body pain, high BP, heartburn, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, indigestion, constipation, migraine, and diabetes. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

One of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention of hypertension. 

Impact

The free medical camp held in Jaranwala profoundly impacted the lives of 410 deserving individuals and their families. By eliminating financial barriers, this camp provided crucial healthcare services that would have been inaccessible. The attendees received free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines, and screenings for diabetes, uric acid, hepatitis B & C, ultrasound, cholesterol, and blood pressure. 

The camp not only addressed their immediate health needs but also fostered a sense of health awareness and empowerment through preventive healthcare sessions. The generosity of donors played a vital role in supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to extend high-quality healthcare services to underserved populations in remote and rural areas. Through this initiative, lives were touched, health was improved, and hope was restored to those who needed it the most.

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 14 members, including one supervisor, four doctors (two males and two females), one lab technician, one staff nurse, one pharmacist, one crew worker, four volunteers, and one photographer
