Our Free Medical Camp Improved Children’s Health in Lahore
Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, Anguri Bagh Scheme, Shalimar Link Road, Muslim Colony, Lahore. The primary objective of this camp held on December 23, 2024, was to provide essential healthcare services to children belonging to underprivileged communities.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 301 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Along with consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests including:
- Diabetes tests
- Blood grouping
- Hepatitis B and C screenings
- Blood pressure checkups

Most Common Diseases
At the free medical camp, patients received consultations for a variety of diseases, including but not limited to:
- Fever, cough, flu, and chest congestion
- Seasonal allergies and scabies
- Asthma, backache, and joint pain
- Migraine and kidney problems
- Abdominal pain, diarrhea, and acidity
Preventive Healthcare Session
In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of scabies.
Impact
This free medical camp made a substantial impact on the lives of 301 needy patients in Lahore. Many of these children had been struggling with various health issues but lacked access to proper medical care. The camp provided them with essential consultations, medications, and diagnostic tests, providing relief from diseases that had gone untreated. In addition to addressing their crucial health needs, the preventive healthcare session educated both parents and children about scabies, empowering families to take better care of their children’s health in the future. The camp not only improved the children’s physical well-being but also lifted their spirits.
