Transparent Hands recently organized another free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare services to deserving patients in Kotri. The free medical camp was held on December 30, 2024, at KR City Grammar School, Al Shabaz Co-Operative Housing Society, Khuda Ki Basti No 5, Kotri.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 660 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, general check-ups, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and cholesterol tests were provided free of cost. Here is a summary of the different diagnostic tests provided at the free medical camp in Kotri.

Diseases and Treatments

At the free medical camp, most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Additionally, free medicines were given to a large number of needy patients.

Preventive Healthcare Session

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session on Scabies for the attendees at the free medical camp. The doctors discussed various aspects of the disease.

Impact

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 660 deserving patients in Kotri. This camp was a lifeline for numerous individuals. Many residents faced immense challenges in accessing even basic healthcare due to their limited resources. This camp brought much-needed relief. Needy patients who could not afford to visit a doctor found hope and healing. Children, adults, and elderly individuals were grateful for the opportunity to receive quality healthcare close to home. 

A preventive healthcare session on scabies was conducted, equipping attendees with valuable knowledge about its causes and prevention. Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 13 members, including 1 supervisor,  3 doctors (1 male and 2 females), 1 lab technician, 2 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars,1 photographer, and 1 driver.
