Our Free Medical Camp Delivered Quality Healthcare in Jamshoro

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Sindh Lakhra Coal Mining Company, recently organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients in Jamshoro. The medical camp was held on 14th August 2024 at Sindh Lakhra Coal Mining Company, Lakhra, District Jamshoro, Sindh. The goal of the camp was to play our part in eradicating the incidence of common diseases in the area.

 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 618 deserving patients received free consultations from experienced doctors. Various free healthcare services like medicines, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, Cholesterol tests, and blood pressure check-ups were provided. Here is a summary of the different diagnostic tests provided at the free medical camp.

Diseases and Treatments

At the camp, most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Free medicines were also given to a large number of deserving patients.

Preventive Healthcare Session

Our expert doctors delivered a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of scabies.

Impact

The free medical camp made a significant difference in the lives of 618 deserving patients and their families. Free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests were provided to needy patients who couldn’t access quality medical services due to their financial constraints. This free medical camp addressed their immediate health needs and played a pivotal role in improving their quality of life.

Moreover, the preventive healthcare session offered valuable information and educated the individuals regarding common health issues and their management. Overall, the camp was a huge success and many needy patients benefited from it.

The medical camp team consisted of 16 members, including two supervisors, four doctors (two males and two females),  2  lab technicians, 2 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars, 1 photographer, and 1 driver.
