Healing Hands: Successful Completion of Free Medical Camp in Dadu

Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held in Chutto Meerwani, UC Fareedabad, Tehsil Mehar, Dadu, Sindh, on May 31, 2023. The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund also participated in this medical camp and made some of the arrangements. 

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

Our team of expert doctors extended their services to provide free consultations to 570 deserving patients. This medical camp offered essential healthcare services such as consultations, free medicines, diabetes tests, screenings for hepatitis B and C, and examinations for typhoid, malaria, cholesterol, and blood pressure. It was a remarkable success that left a lasting impact on the community, reaffirming the importance of accessible and comprehensive healthcare for all.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, flu, cough, vomiting, migraine, kidney stones, earache, weak eyesight, asthma, allergies, fever, diabetes, body pain, hypertension, gastric problems, and body weakness. A total of 18 lab tests were also conducted during the medical camp.

Preventive Healthcare Session 

An expert doctor shared simple tips to prevent skin infections and allergies. The doctor advised keeping the skin clean by washing it regularly with mild soap and water to remove dirt. Moisturizing the skin was also recommended to prevent dryness and reduce the risk of infections.. By following these easy tips, individuals can take care of their skin and lower their chances of developing infections or allergies.

Impact 

The impact of this free medical camp was significant, as it provided essential healthcare services to a total of 570 deserving patients. Expert doctors conducted free consultations, offering personalized medical advice and addressing various health concerns. The camp also provided additional services, including free medicines, diabetes tests, screenings for hepatitis B and C, and examinations for typhoid, malaria, cholesterol, and blood pressure. These comprehensive services had a positive effect on the community by improving the overall health and well-being of the patients. By receiving timely medical attention, the patients were able to address their health issues effectively and access necessary treatments. The camp not only alleviated financial burdens by offering services at no cost, but it also played a crucial role in preventing diseases by following healthy practices. The impact of this camp extended beyond the immediate medical care, as it contributed to the long-term well-being of the individuals and the overall improvement of their quality of life.
