How Free Medical Camp in Shorkot City was conducted by Transparent Hands
Transparent Hands team organized a free medical camp on November 14, 2020, at Mian Safdar Hussain’s farmhouse, Al-Hussain Nagar, Shorkot city, Jhang for the people living in that area who cannot afford basic healthcare facilities. The camp was organized by Transparent Hands with the collaboration of CopperGAT Cables. A team of thirteen experts arranged and managed the entire camp. It included one supervisor, four doctors (three male and one female), one pharmacist, one staff nurse, one lab technologist, two patient registrars, one photographer, and two crew workers.
A total of 380 patients were provided medical consultation and medication, free of cost. The tests, that were conducted, included Hepatitis B & C screening, ultrasound, blood sugar, and blood pressure test. In this medical camp, eight patients were identified who needed surgical intervention and seven patients required various medical procedures for their treatment. Whereas, seven patients tested positive for Hepatitis. All these cases were registered by our team for future follow up treatment.
Conclusion
The medical camp team succeeded in its mission of providing quality healthcare facilities and expert consultation to the underprivileged population of Shorkot city.
