Free Medical Camp Held in Samtani Village, Sehwan, Sindh, on July 2, 2022
Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality health care available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Govt Primary School, Samtani Village, near Sehwan, Sindh, on July 2, 2022.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 453 deserving patients received free consultations by expert doctors. Medicines, diabetes tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, and blood pressure check-ups were also provided free of charge.
Preventive Healthcare Session on Personal Hygiene
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp in Samtani. The session focused on personal hygiene. The doctors discussed how the lack of personal hygiene can cause health problems and the ways to improve personal hygiene.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from asthma, allergies, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 2% of the tested patients had hepatitis C and 3% had hepatitis B.

The medical camp team consisted of 21 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (two females and two males), two nurses, three pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and six crew workers.
