Free Medical Camp Held in Azizabad, Mansehra on May 15, 2022
Transparent Hands recently held another free medical camp with the vision to provide quality health care to deserving patients. The medical camp was organized at Bahria Foundation College Bypass Azizabad, Mansehra on May 15, 2022. The venue, accommodation, and meals were provided by Bahria Foundation College.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 421 patients belonging to underprivileged communities received free consultations. In addition to free medicines, the patients were also provided with blood sugar tests, blood pressure tests, and hepatitis B and C screenings free of charge.
Medical Camp Team
The medical camp team consisted of 18 members, including a supervisor, five doctors (two males and three females), two pharmacists, one photographer, two lab technicians, two female staff nurses, two patient registrars (one male and one female), and three crew workers.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, and flu. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Only five patients needed to undergo surgeries.
Awareness Session
A female doctor held an awareness session on personal hygiene and daily diet for children, mothers, and teaching staff. All COVID SOPs such as wearing face masks, hand sanitization, and social distancing were followed at the medical camp. In addition, the patients received face masks and hand sanitizers free of charge.
Impact
This free medical camp made a lasting difference in the lives of more than 420 patients and their families. This year, Transparent Hands aims to arrange 100 free health camps across Pakistan. Thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to provide quality medical care to the underprivileged and remote areas of the country.
