Yasmeen Ramzan's Story

Yasmeen Ramzan, a 35-year-old resident of Lahore, had been suffering from pain in her umbilical region for the last three years. Previously, she was treated for symptomatic gallstones with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. She had been taking regular anticoagulants for pulmonary embolism. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with incisional/Paraumbilical Hernia. The doctors advised her to go for a Mesh Hernioplasty. She was sent to Lahore Care Hospital for her Mesh Hernioplasty after preparation. Her surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 30-11-2021. Postoperatively, she collapsed all of a sudden during her recovery. She was resuscitated and shifted to ICU for management of cardiopulmonary arrest. Despite providing her with the best medical treatment, she couldn’t recover from her arrest and died the next day in ICU on 1-12-21.
